Bundesliga season is over

FC Bayern wins

FC Bayern wins

The Bundesliga (german soccer league) ended last weekend.  The club “FC Bayern” wins this season and got on saturday in Berlin the Bundesliga title cup. But for the FC Bayern is this “soccer-saison” not over because they are in a champions league final and also in the DFB-tournament final. They can get “the triple” (Bundesliga title, Champions league, DFB). It’s would be crazy if FC Bayern get all 3 titles this year.

For the Hamburg soccer club (HSV) was a very bad season because they got 0 titles and ended on the place 7 and HSV will not play international next season. So angry!

HSV dream is over

Posted in Off-topic by webob on April 30, 2010

Damn! The soccer team HSV has lost the sem final yesterday. The dream of the final in their own stadium is over now. It’ s very sad. The game had started so well with the great free kick goal by M. Petric, but HSV had scored two goals against us in the second half.

Soccer news: HSV Coach was fired.

Posted in Off-topic by webob on April 27, 2010

After the 5:1 defeat in Hoffenheim was the Hamburg coach – Bruno Labbadia – fired. The new coach is R. Moniz until the end of this season. His first match as new Hamburg coach is on thursday against Fulham. If Hamburg win, they will be reaching the final. I will keep my fingers crossed. ;)

My guess: 2:1 for Hamburg.

“by”, “from” and “of” – What is the difference

Posted in English by webob on April 21, 2010

I asked myself: “When to use which word?”. I think I understand the difference. Let me try to explain with the help of a example:

  • This is a picture by Peter
    Peter created this picture
  • This is a picture of Peter
    Peter is on this picture
  • This is a picture from Peter
    Peter gave it to me

I hope the explanation is right. :)

Roll your own…

Posted in English, General by webob on April 20, 2010

I have learned a new sentence in english: Roll your own….

It’s come from “the idea of rolling your own cigarettes” and means the same like:  Do it yourself!
It’s about giving yourself control over how the cigarettes are: you decide on the size, type, flavor, etc.

Modify your YouTube-Link

Posted in Internet by webob on April 19, 2010

If you want to show your friends a specific scene in a video on Youtube, you can append a time parameter at the  link.

For example:

This is a normal Youtube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9foCJDVTbYg

And if you want that the video start from the 2:40 minute then you must append the time parameter: #t=2m40s :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9foCJDVTbYg#t=2m40s

It workes ;)
